This page explains the cookies and similar storage veroman.cloud uses, and how to control them. We keep it light: the site only uses what it needs to work and to remember a couple of your preferences.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar tool that works much the same way. They let a site remember things between page loads, like the fact that you're logged in.
What we use
Our cookies fall into a few groups:
- Essential: these keep you signed in and let checkout work. The site can't function properly without them, so they don't ask for consent.
- Preferences: these remember small choices, like the currency you picked on the pricing page, so you don't set it again each visit.
- Analytics: if we measure how the site is used, we do it in aggregate with privacy-respecting tools. We don't use cookies to build an advertising profile of you or to follow you around other sites.
Cookies from others
When you pay, the checkout step hands off to a payment provider, and that provider may set its own cookies to process the transaction safely and prevent fraud. Those cookies are governed by the provider's policy, not this one.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you see, block, or delete cookies in its settings, and you can browse in a private or incognito window. Blocking essential cookies will stop you logging in or finishing checkout, but blocking the rest won't break anything important.
